My good friend, I'll call her Shelly, has a big obsession with a popular actor of our time. She likes everything about him, his messy hair, his slender body, his quirky smile.
Shelly will wander around during her time off and find photos of her "hunk." She found one that she sent me and said "I need this in a story." I grinned (always looking for inspiration here!) and said "ok." There was a short list of parameters she placed down on the story, including "don't use his real name," "make so and so's hair this color," and "I don't like this part of the picture erase it." Any one who's ever written a paper in school learns how to cater to their audience - the better you are the better your grade. I've sent her the first chapter of the piece (I'm guessing either a novella or a full length feature.) I had never truly considered writing a piece about twins before and her direction and requests are bringing about a lot of excitement, she's happy and I'm happy. There comes with it instant gratification knowing that someone's reading and loving it before
