I'll admit - like most writers I have my ups and downs in writing. Those days where you just can't seem to think imaginatively and that horrible thing called Writer's Block shows up with a vengeance.
Today has been cursed. Not only is it a Monday after a crazy busy weekend, but my husband is at home sick. Meaning no doubt that I will want to make him soups and we'll cuddle and watch a movie or have a nap, or if he's up for it play a video game. And if that wasn't enough its a holiday week, and I got a brand new KitchenAid mixer for an early Christmas present. The good thing is that I am self employed, and a few days here and there don't hit me too hard. But they still hit me, the more output I can get the more people tend to pool around and buy. The good news is that as a self-employed writer and stay at home mom there's always plenty for me to do that feels productive and helps my family. So I have set up a few goals today having to do with my writing, to ensure that I keep my presence up and that I take a few steps down the writer road before altering to my other roads.
